Hope for Haiti would like to formally invite the members of Club Creole to the 1st Annual Hope for Haiti Talent Extravaganza, hosted by Ms. Alexandra Marie of Magic 101.3, on Friday October 24th at 6:15pm in the Rion Ballroom.

The Indian Student Association Presents Diwali |

|
Diwali is the "Festival of Lights" celebrating the victory of good over evil in India. The Diwali show will take place on Sunday October 26, 2008 at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for Performing Arts. Doors open at 6:30 with the show starting at 7 pm. The show will consist of skits, dances, and singing. Admission is free.
They will be taking donations at the door for Gators United for Haiti. So show your support by attending this amazing event. You will not regret it. |

Join Children Beyond Our Borders |

Hey Florida Gators, With a million different ways to get involved on campus and in the Gainesville community, it can sometimes become overwhelming trying to figure out what's right for you. Children Beyond our Borders is a non-profit organization dedicated to alleviating the effects of poverty on children in the developing world by fulfilling their basic needs and investing in their education. The ultimate goal of Children Beyond Our Borders is to give children the tools and the inspiration necessary to succeed in all aspects of life. Every summer, our organization takes a service trip to Colombia, where we work with children in Cartagena and/or Medellin. Our members have said that this is one of the most fulfilling and meaningful things that they have done with their lives. To give back to our local community, we are partnering with Libros de Familia, and organization which works with the children of migrant families in Alachua. Throughout the year we will be having several fundraising and awareness events on campus and in the community. If you'd like to get involved, email us to sign up for our list serve.
